Spanish Medical Interpreter - Hours Vary

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a Spanish Medical Interpreter to join our team! The Medical Interpreter receives patients/visitors and provides interpretation services during various processes and makes sight translations of documents. The Medical Interpreter will provide accurate concepts and explanations with no additions or omissions, according to conventions of established interpretation protocol. They successfully process and impart information swiftly, relaying intentions, emotions, and tone in interpretations. They also provide educational opportunities for staff. • This position is PRN, varying hours, with the possibility of up to 20 hours per week POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Preferred applicants have outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy. • Valid certificate of accredited interpreting training. • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. • Computer skills. • Ability to follow instruction under pressure, showing compassion and empathy. • Outstanding listening, retention, and note-taking skills. • Proficient enunciation and pronunciation skills with a pleasant professional voice. • Proficient understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
