The Enrollment Services Manager (Program Specialist 4\) provides culturally responsive management and leadership for the District Enrollment Services Department on processes of essential student services, including but not limited to admissions, residency, registrations, registration cycle, transcripts, student coding, and student personal records.
Primary responsibilities include maintaining student records, representing the department to students, faculty, staff, and the public, interpreting and applying policies/procedures, following Family Educational Rights Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations, and supporting data processes in Acalog. The work requires leadership skills, great attention to detail, advanced computer skills, and a high level of confidentiality.
This position actively supports and engages in Pierce College’s goals for equity and inclusion to provide access and support for our diverse community of learners. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Opportunity and Outcomes.

Essential Functions

The Enrollment Services Manager (Program Specialist 4\) will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: Enrollment Services Management
• Oversee admissions, residency, registration, grades, transcripts, and student records, ensuring efficient operations, timely processes, and improved service delivery.
• Evaluate and improve processes, implement policies, integrate technology to enhance access and efficiency, and maintain reports to support program functions.
• Collaborate with district departments and stakeholders to align processes, troubleshoot issues, and support enrollment services functions.
• Act as a liaison, addressing inquiries from stakeholders, and ensure enrollment services web pages are current.
• Manage permanent student records, ensure compliance with retention plans and legal requirements, and oversee the security, tracking, and disposition of records.
• Maintain data accuracy in the Student Management System and coordinate record storage and archiving.
• Collaborate with the Director and external partners like Parchment, and work with the Community and Continuing Education Director to ensure smooth program operations.
• Oversee CampusCE registration, coordinate with the vendor on process alignment, manage updates, and train staff on enrollment procedures.
• Conduct orientations and training to ensure consistency and efficiency in enrollment services across district offices.
Supervision
• Manage daily activities of enrollment services staff, prioritize tasks, set timelines, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to foster staff development and teamwork.
• Assist in personnel decisions, including hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluations for classified and student employees.
• Schedule work hours, approve time and leave reporting, and establish and implement work priorities.
• Generate budget requests and coordinate annual budgets with the Director and Dean.
College Catalog Facilitator
• Coordinate with the Director of Enrollment Opportunity and Outcomes to support Acalog for the Districts.
• Attend training sessions with Curriculog Administrator and Modern Campus technical/customer support.
• Input approved updates in Acalog, review content for accuracy before publication and coordinate with the Director for corrections.
College Participation
• Participate as a Student Services representative in college governance and committees.
• Attend workshops and conferences to stay updated on changes in technology, regulations, laws, and policies.
• Actively support and engage in Pierce College's goals for equity and inclusion to provide access and support for our diverse community of learners.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education Required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Liberal Arts, or related field.
OR
• Equivalent education/experience.
Education to Experience Equivalences:
Associate Degree \= 2 years \| Bachelor’s Degree \= 4 years \| Master’s \= 5 years Experience Required
• Demonstrated progressively responsible experience in a higher education environment, which includes management, student records, supervision, and personnel management.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership in a dynamic, highly regulated work environment.
• Demonstrated experience with automated student management systems, computer software and databases, and a customer service environment.
• Demonstrated experience with program management and large staff supervision.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating the success of individuals representing a broad range of academic, cultural, socioeconomic, ability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet, and databases.
Special Requirements
• The successful candidate must consent to and pass a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment.
• Must have the documentation required to access Joint Base Lewis\-McChord (i.e., Washington Enhanced Driver’s License or Passport).

Terms of Employment
This is a full\-time (40 hours per week) classified, overtime\-eligible position with Pierce College District. This position is permanent after serving a 6\-month probationary period. The primary work location will be at Pierce College, Puyallup campus. Occasional travel to Pierce College campuses or sites may occur. Work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings, weekend work, and occasional travel as required. This position may be subject to reassignment between campuses or sites. This position requires regular and consistent attendance. Salary \& Benefits
The starting salary of this position is $5,643\.00 a month, dependent upon qualifications, with periodic increments up to $6,876\.00 monthly. However, your paycheck is just part of the total compensation package. There is an outstanding benefits package worth an additional value equivalent to about 30% of your salary. Physical Work Environment
This position requires working indoors in an open office environment, which requires visual concentration on detail, dexterity, and precision and is subject to frequent noise and interruptions.
