This position offers a great opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment with a diverse patient population, including pediatric cases. • Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician • Volume: 20,000 annual patient volume, with 10-15% pediatric cases • Shift Coverage: • 24 hours of physician coverage • 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage • Treatment Rooms: 12 private treatment rooms for optimal patient care Requirements: • Board Certification: • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) • EM residency-trained physicians required • Certifications: • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required • Skills: • Strong communication skills • Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities during emergencies Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, managing acute medical emergencies and ensuring the best possible outcomes • Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers to ensure comprehensive patient care • Maintain excellent communication with staff and patients, ensuring all medical interventions are explained clearly and effectively • Manage pediatric cases effectively, making quick, decisive medical evaluations and interventions when necessary Additional Benefits: • Position Duration: 3 months, with the potential for extension • Start Date: ASAP • Location: Near New Braunfels, TX, in a supportive and collaborative medical community • Work in a facility designed to provide the best care with private treatment rooms and strong team collaboration.
