The Community Development intern will work closely with the Community Development Department by providing support to the team through assisting with special projects, research, and general department support.Essential Functions

• Collaborate with team to develop program materials, presentations, and reports.
• Assist in planning and execution of community development programs and events.
• Conduct research and identify funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and donations.
• Communicate with internal and external individuals and teams, including vendors, community members, partners, youth, elders, tribal leaders, etc.
• Contribute to planning and execution of charitable giving initiatives.
• Attend weekly team meetings.
• Attend community meetings and events as needed.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
• Administrative support and community outreach as needed.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands

This is a full\-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out\-of\-area and overnight travel may be expected.Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal)

Education

• Completed one full college semester working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.
