SAV Digital Environments sells, designs, installs and services cutting\-edge automation technology and AV and security systems for luxury residential and commercial spaces in the Gallatin Valley. SAV has been in business for 15 years, is wildly successful and is among the largest AV integrators in the country. We are now looking to hire full\-time AV technicians. JOB SUMMARY: The Technician installs residential or commercial automation systems, including AV, home theater, climate control, lighting, motorized shades/blinds, network and voice AI. Junior Technicians, in conjunction with Senior Techs and Project Managers, ensure that products are correctly installed, and best practices are followed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work with colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure procedures are followed, correct materials are available, project timelines are adhered to, and clients are satisfied.
Successfully execute AV install projects from rough\-in phase through the finish phase including preparing the project space, running and terminating cabling, setting\-up local area networks, and installing devices, hanging TVs, installing speakers, hanging shades, etc.
Follow safety practices and procedures, including job site maintenance and cleanliness procedures.
Accurately document work and report back to managers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS \& ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret construction documentation
Maintain a standard of appearance and behavior that reflects SAV’s high\-level of professionalism
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
Clean driving record
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Training, education or hands\-on experience in the construction, electrical or AV industries.
Experience interpreting blueprints, construction plan sets and architectural drawings preferred.
Knowledge of structural basics, including drilling studs, beams, etc., and basic installation techniques, including opening sizes and device/component placement.
Familiarity with basic wire dress, including final trim lengths, labeling, etc.
Familiarity with outside service provider drops including Telco, DSS, ISP, etc.
Understanding of low\-voltage and signal\-flow and wired and wireless networks.
COMPLEXITY \& DIFFICULTY: Degree of Supervision/Independence
Close – frequent and detailed review of work. Instruction, advice and assistance readily available.
