Job Description

GC\&E Systems Group is seeking a Telecommunications Installation Technician.

Essential Job Function:

Performs work involved in the routine installation, removal, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber and copper cabling.
Runs and terminates fiber and copper cabling according to project documentation and guidance from onsite leadership.
Uses standard hand tools and a variety of test equipment such as OTDRs, voltmeters, ohmmeters, current flow and continuity testers.
Installs Workstation equipment including but not limited to, PCs, monitors, KVMs, and CAC readers.
Installs Audio\-Visual equipment to include but not limited to displays, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and all related equipment.
Maintains knowledge of and adheres to industry and BICSI cabling and installation standards.
Must hold and maintain a government SECRET security clearance.

Candidate Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
