Job Description
GC\&E Systems Group is seeking a Telecommunications Installation Technician.
Essential Job Function:
• Performs work involved in the routine installation, removal, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber and copper cabling.
• Runs and terminates fiber and copper cabling according to project documentation and guidance from onsite leadership.
• Uses standard hand tools and a variety of test equipment such as OTDRs, voltmeters, ohmmeters, current flow and continuity testers.
• Installs Workstation equipment including but not limited to, PCs, monitors, KVMs, and CAC readers.
• Installs Audio\-Visual equipment to include but not limited to displays, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and all related equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of and adheres to industry and BICSI cabling and installation standards.
• Must hold and maintain a government SECRET security clearance.
Candidate Requirements:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
