Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

90%    Administrative \& Support Duties

Answers member telephone and email inquiries regarding existing loans and general questions regarding loan programs and all other credit union products and services.  Greets members and coordinates meetings with appropriate department employee(s).  Performs daily clerical and administrative duties as needed.
Receives and processes incoming mail to include scanning and filing loan documentation
Receives and logs new loan applications and performs initial organization of member loan files as needed.  Orders initial processing documents as needed.  Contacts the members to clarify the loan request and requests additional documentation or information from member as needed.
Records appropriate notes in the loan origination system and CRM and logs pending documentation into the loan file.
Responds to Real Estate service requests or forwards to the appropriate employee within the department.
Orders appraisals, automated valuations, and broker’s opinion of value, preliminary title reports, full credit report, property verifications, or verifications of employment.
Reviews valuations for accuracy and completeness, communicates with appraisers, loan officers, underwriters, and members to gather information and resolve issues or questions regarding valuations.
Initiates appraisal orders for residential and commercial loans in accordance with guidelines
Conducts in\-house and desktop valuations of commercial equipment to assess market value.
Handle incoming hazard insurance and flood certificates and track in necessary systems Monitors file for receipt of those items and any other information necessary to complete the file; makes all necessary follow up phone calls to assure the receipt of such items.  Ensures the secure delivery of collateral documentation to the appropriate parties.
Assists with loan fundings,  and close out of paid off loans
Post\-closing duties such as scanning and preparing loan files for retention and filing.
Prepares invoices to send to Accounts Payable
Data entry as needed
Assists with HMDA reports

Is responsible for ensuring annual registration requirement for the position are met.
Meets the current standards as established for the department or branch in the completion of all assigned duties
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent
Experience working with real estate loans is highly desirable.
Must be registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System or become registered within 90 days of hire.
Excellent clerical skills, including typing and operation of the 10\-key calculator and computer terminal
Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti\-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).

SENIOR REAL ESTATE LOAN REPRESENTATIVE:

Must meet all requirements, functions, and qualifications of Representative I plus the following:

Assist with reporting

QUALIFICATIONS SENIOR:

Includes all qualifications of level I, with 1\-2 years of experience in a lending environment and one year of real estate experience.
