Responsibilities of Service Engineer: Your proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical installations, and building mechanicals positions you to deal effectively with any maintenance issues in our building. Your steadfast dedication to excellence ensures the efficient operation of Verizon's building systems. • Starting, operating, repairing and maintaining various types of heating and air conditioning plants and associated equipment (i.e. air handling equipment, refrigeration equipment, etc.). • Maintaining and repairing motor controller and associated electrical equipment and control circuits. • Installing, repairing and calibrating various makes of pneumatic and/or electric controls required for the operation of temperature and humidity control equipment. • Performing inspections and making repairs on equipment/systems as required by company practices and/or regulations/ordinances. • Reviewing and interpreting word orders, operating instructions, diagrams, building plans and mechanical equipment drawings. • Climbing ladders, working aloft, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs. • Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business. • Work tour hours are 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday (hours may vary). Overtime is as needed by the business. Qualification of Service Engineer: Your proficiency in HVAC and building systems equips you with the ability to make valuable contributions to the V Team. You thrive in dynamic environments and prioritize staying well-coordinated to handle diverse tasks effectively. Striving for excellence in your work is a fundamental principle for you, as you are dedicated to upholding superior standards in all your endeavors • An authorized refrigeration license and the proficiency to pass, obtain, and maintain an up-to-date certificate of fitness for operating fire standpipes, sprinklers, welding equipment, oil burners, and air compressors. • Technicians are required to attain the Universal Technician Certification as per the EPA regulations detailed in 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart H to ensure proper handling and disposal of regulated substances. • An acceptable driving record and a current driver's license are prerequisites. • Essential vocational or technical schooling or three years or more of suitable work background.
