Click here to learn more about us! About The Role Gain hands-on experience with Matson’s Accounting Department! What you’ll do: • Assist in the accounts payable department • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations • Assist with the implementation of a new accounting software/system, Workday • Assist with Accounting process improvement projects • Assist with the preparation of budget files for the yearly Operating Plan • Assist with updating financial reports and KPI’s • Retrieve and review duplicate payment backup to support and prepare customer refunds • Assist with secure credit references for existing or new customers • Assist with projects that facilitate automation • Assists with internal and external audits • Performs other functions and projects as necessary, requested, or assigned. • Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals. And these qualifications: • Rising Junior or Senior in active pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree. Prior completion of basic accounting courses required. Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. • Strong attention to detail. • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
