The Quality Assurance Specialist I is accountable for consistency and security of all retail operational areas. The Operational Quality Assurance Specialist conducts quality assurance audits of retail processes assuring credit union standards are maintained and operational integrity is preserved. Consults with Financial Center Operations and retail management to address errors, maintain quality in production, and resolve problems. Monitors internal controls through regular audits, ensures the highest standards are maintained in daily operations. JOB DUTIES: • Conducts a random daily review of new accounts opened in the branches. Monitors adherence to established procedures and oversees processes and methods used to ensure quality. Initiates follow-up to address errors with the appropriate parties and follows through to resolution. Ensures consistency in processes within the branch network. • Responsible for leading, planning, performing and communicating retail audits at the direction of the QA Supervisor to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. • Ensures that financial centers are maintained according to FCCU standards and that all regulatory and compliance signage is up to date. • Responsible for documenting the financial center audit reviews, tracking and compiling results and distributing data relative to department audits. Responsible for creating action reports and maintaining metrics on audit reviews. • Conducts an exit review of audit findings with the financial center management and provides a formal report. Ensures all findings are reconciled as appropriate. • May review or share audit findings at Branch Job family meetings to educate management on areas of concern or to address new requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: • Individual and group coaching and development skills. • Proficiency with data processing system and loan origination system. • Knowledge of all products offered by the credit union. • Ability to provide consistently professional member service. • Sharply honed organizational, time management, and oral and written communication skills. • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Education and Experience: • Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of 3+ years of credit union or bank operations experience or relevant experience at First Commerce Credit Union.
