School Behavior Technician

for the 2024\-2025 school year. This full\-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about working with students who have behavioral and emotional challenges and who are committed to fostering a supportive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in collaboration with the school's behavior specialists and support team.
Provide direct support to students exhibiting challenging behaviors and assist in redirecting them toward more appropriate behavior.
Monitor student progress, track behavior data, and provide detailed reports to help adjust interventions.
Foster a positive classroom environment by reinforcing appropriate behaviors and offering consistent, clear guidance.
Support teachers and staff in managing classroom behavior and promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with other school professionals (teachers, special education staff, psychologists) to develop and deliver effective strategies for student success.
Attend and participate in meetings to discuss student progress and offer insights into behavioral challenges and successes.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure consistency of behavior support both at school and at home.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a behavior technician, behavioral aide, or in a similar role in an educational or clinical setting.
Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other behavioral and developmental needs is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
Detail\-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
A positive, proactive approach to behavior management.
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in psychology, education, or related field is a plus.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
