2024\-2025Key Responsibilities:
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in collaboration with the school's behavior specialists and support team.
• Provide direct support to students exhibiting challenging behaviors and assist in redirecting them toward more appropriate behavior.
• Monitor student progress, track behavior data, and provide detailed reports to help adjust interventions.
• Foster a positive classroom environment by reinforcing appropriate behaviors and offering consistent, clear guidance.
• Support teachers and staff in managing classroom behavior and promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with other school professionals (teachers, special education staff, psychologists) to develop and deliver effective strategies for student success.
• Attend and participate in meetings to discuss student progress and offer insights into behavioral challenges and successes.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure consistency of behavior support both at school and at home.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working as a behavior technician, behavioral aide, or in a similar role in an educational or clinical setting.
• Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other behavioral and developmental needs is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
• Detail\-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• A positive, proactive approach to behavior management.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in psychology, education, or related field is a plus.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
