Responsibilities: \- Provide grooming services to a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and other small animals \- Perform bathing, brushing, and hair trimming according to client preferences and breed standards \- Trim nails, clean ears, and perform other basic grooming tasks \- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during the grooming process \- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area \- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests Experience: \- Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred \- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming needs \- Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment \- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion \- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners Skills: \- Animal restraint: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures \- Heavy lifting: Capability to lift and carry heavy pets or equipment as needed \- Animal handling: Proficiency in handling various types of animals with patience and gentleness \- Equine (optional): Experience in grooming horses or other large animals \- Kennel (optional): Knowledge of kennel operations and animal care \- Pet grooming: Expertise in providing professional grooming services to pets of all sizes and breeds \- Veterinary technician (optional): Background as a veterinary technician with knowledge of animal health and anatomy \- Veterinary assistant (optional): Experience working as a veterinary assistant with understanding of animal care procedures \- Customer service: Excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service to pet owners \- Veterinary: Familiarity with veterinary practices and protocols Please note that specific requirements may vary depending on the employer's preferences.
