Material Handler/Sheeter Packager

Summary:

The Poly Bak sheeter packager position is required to safely meet quality and production expectations by utilizing materials, hi\-lo, banding equipment, packaging standards and established processes.

Position Skill Set Requirements:

· Demonstrated acceptable attendance record · Will demonstrate strong desire to work in team environment · Experience with reading and applying information found on product prints · Convert metric to and from imperial (standard) · Able accurately read and use tape measure and calipers · Able to understand and follow work order · Apply proper pallets, protective wrap, proper load tags and specified banding to each load · Follow published daily production schedules · Ability to flex working hours schedule to meet customer requirements · Ability to perform in fast paced environment with very minimal stationary time · Documents actions by accurately completing necessary paperwork · Utilize safe driving practices while placing finished goods into inventory locations

Safety Expectations:

· Maintains safe operations by following published and trained safety procedures · Always secure material loads utilizing pallets, wraps and bandings per instructions · Safe hi\-lo operation · Safe Chop Saw operation · Avoid pinch points and rotating equipment motions · Keep floor clean and free from slip or trip hazards · Attentive to details

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

· Must always confirm sheeted product size · Complete packaging per customer specification · Able to demonstrate basic math skills · Able to accurately read product prints · Strong attention to detail throughout daily execution of customer orders · Maintain clean contact surfaces throughout process to prevent material damage

Housekeeping Expectations:

· Daily end of shift cleanup of all debris, scrap and cutting dust · All needed items to support production organized in 5s condition · Horizontal surfaces free of dirt, dust, trash, unidentified (non 5s) items always · Outdated postings, notices removed · Weekly deep clean of sheeter, chop saw, packaging station, departmental racking, material handling pits and chipper
